What is the The Art Tiffin?

The Art Tiffin is a monthly art subscription box which promotes and features only cruelty-free and vegan brands (brands that do not test on animals). We personally select and curate our boxes to include vegan and ethical mindfulness treats, and only organic and Fairtrade artisanal products straight from the artisans across the world. No middle men involved. 

What products are included in my box?

The products included will be a selection of cruelty-free and vegan art materials ranging from watercolours, pencils, crayons, oils and acrylics. There will also be sketching or painting pads and creativity guides and notebooks. We will also include some select items to help calm and inner strength such as organic and Fairtrade teas, vegan food items and beauty products. We have also connected with artists from across the world to find traditional arts and crafts that we will be bringing straight from these artists to ensure fairer wages without any middle men.

The brands will vary every month so you get to try out lots of different products! We will offer sneak peeks of featured products on our social media, but most months the products will be a surprise. Items may vary per box, and featured items are subject to availability.


How much are the products worth? Are they all samples?

The RRP of each box varies per month, but on average is around £50-£60 per month, so you're always getting a great deal, often up to 50% off RRP.

Where possible we always try to feature full sized products, especially for the art materials where no samples are available - unlike food or beauty industry.


Do I have to be good at art to use my box?

Everyone has creativity within them. The Art Tiffin isn’t about being good at art, it’s about discovering a new way to relax, unwind and find the joy of creating something. We’ll be with you every step of the way with ideas, suggestions and new things to try.

We are run by artists so we try and test all our products and materials before including them. It’s important to us that we only bring you the best quality materials and equipment, which makes The Art Tiffin perfect for amateurs and artists alike.


Why only cruelty-free products?

We are firmly against testing on animals and animal products. It's the reason why we started The Art Tiffin in the first place! It's our mission to encourage our subscribers to use only cruelty-free products. Every year thousands of animals die unnecessarily and it is our mission to look for humane alternatives where possible.

How do you ensure a brand is cruelty-free and ethical?

Firstly we will only approach brands who advertise and promote themselves as cruelty-free. Unlike the beauty industry, there is no awareness amongst the art world as to what is included in the art products. We strive for a rigorous research culture at The Art Tiffin.

Once we've made contact with the suppliers and manufacturers, we will check their company policy on animal testing, request details of their manufacturing processes and ingredients list. We leave no stone unturned to only use brands that are ethical and eco-friendly, and we will only send you Fairtrade, ethical, and organic products in The Art Tiffin Boxes.


Can I give a box as a gift?

Yes of course! An Art Tiffin box makes the perfect gift - it’s full of ethical loveliness and creative inspiration. If you choose to send a box as a gift, we’ll wrap it beautifully and include a handwritten card - simply select the gift box option.

Can I re-sell my Art Tiffin box?

It is illegal to sell any part of or whole of Art Tiffin in any way. We have intellectual property rights on all contents of the box, including any promotional material, images and text on this website, and anything posted on social media. 


Subscriptions and billing

How do I cancel?

We’ll be sad to see you go, but there’s no long term contract with The Art Tiffin so if you want to cancel, just send us an email at hello@hedgeandhogprints.com and we'll sort it out for you straight away, or log into your customer account and do it from there.

When will I be billed?

Your subscription will renew and you’ll be billed on the last day of the month (payday!), ready for your next box. There’s no contract and you’re free to cancel any time before your subscription renews.

Are there any hidden fees?

None at all. We believe in 100% transparency in all our processes and prices. Just the cost of the box plus postage and packaging. Please note that your subscription will auto renew - so please make sure you cancel if you don't want another box.



Where do you ship to?

We are now open to shipping to some countries in Europe and to the USA and Canada. If your country isn't listed, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will see what we can do. 

When do you ship your boxes?

Our boxes are on sale until around the 20th of each month, although we often sell out early! They are then shipped on or around the 26th. Most subscribers receive their box by the end of the month. 

I ordered my box last month but it hasn't arrived yet?

Our cut off dates for each box each month is usually around the 20th of the month, although our boxes often sell out early (we've sold out as early at the 10th of the month!). That means if you signed up for a Art Tiffin after either the cut of date, or sold out date (which ever came first) you will be first in the queue to receive next month's box, but you will have missed the current months box. You will not be charged again until you have received your first Art Tiffin Box. 

All the boxes are sent out in the last week of the month, so when you order an October box, it is posted in the last week of October even if you had ordered it in the first week.

I think my box has gone missing in the post, what should I do?

Don't worry! Email our team on hello@hedgeandhogprints.com and we will look into your missing box for you straight away.

Do you provide tracking numbers?

We do not currently provide tracking numbers for our boxes.

When will I know my box is on its way?

You will receive a dispatch email to the email address you registered with to let you know your Art Tiffin Box is on its way!
